About Institution
SeattleU offers an introductory course for students looking to switch careers. This program has two starts - a summer and a winter bootcamp focused on Java and C++ - and each of these teaches the basic principles of programming, algorithmic problem solving, program design, and much more. We appreciate SeattleU's transparency around the time needed to hone your coding skills in a bootcamp, while also cautioning students that the programming bootcamps courses (offered 3x) a week don’t include the time needed to code outside of class (8-10 hours per week). More work from SeattleU’s program is needed on the transparency front: the school doesn’t list hiring partners, median salary figures for recent graduates, or completion rates. We hope to see these published in the future, and recommend all applicants speak to the admissions representatives about outcomes.
