Colorado State University Professional Education partnered with partnered with Fullstack Academy to launch part-time bootcamps with specializations in software development and cybersecurity. While these CSU bootcamps are not taught by CSU faculty but rather by individuals hired by Fullstack Academy, students do receive a certificate issued jointly by Colorado State University and FullStack Academy as well as Continuing Education Units (CEUs) from CSU. The format of the coding bootcamp is live and online with classes offered Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays throughout the 26 week part-time program. Students should expect an average of 15 hours of independent work per week during the CSU coding bootcamp. The tuition to attend CSU's part-time coding bootcamp is $11,490 with up to $1,000 in scholarships for military personnel or veterans and $500 for CSU students, alumni, or employees. To pay tuition, students can consider a personal loan from either Climb Credit or Ascent but the program is not eligible for FAFSA. CSU states their bootcamps are designed for coding beginners interested in a career change or starting off in the software development field. CSU does not currently disclose any graduation or job placement outcomes from their coding bootcamp program, so be sure to speak about this with a representative admissions counselor.
